Returns, Freight Damage, & Manufacturer Defects 

At Bollards Plus, most products are built to order right here in the USA. Because of that, our return policy is a little different than what you might see from typical consumer products — and that's standard across the industrial fabrication industry.

We work hard to make things right when there’s an issue, but we also ask customers to carefully review orders before purchase and inspect shipments upon delivery.

Standard Stock Products

In limited cases, standard stock products may be eligible for return approval.

To qualify: 

  • The product must be unused and uninstalled  

  • The product must be in new, resalable condition  

  • The product must be free from damage, modification, excessive handling, or weather exposure  

  • Return approval (RMA) must be issued before the item is sent back  

Products showing signs of installation, mounting, scratches, repainting, freight abuse, or field modification are not eligible for return.

Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 30%. 

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error. 


Manufacturer Defects 

We stand behind the quality of our products and workmanship. 

If a product is determined to have a manufacturer defect, Bollards Plus may, at our discretion, repair or replace the affected product or component.

Because installation conditions, labor rates, equipment requirements, and jobsite conditions vary widely, our responsibility is limited to the product itself.

Bollards Plus is not responsible for: 

  • Removal or reinstallation costs  

  • Concrete work or excavation  

  • Core drilling or surface repair  

  • Equipment rentals or lift costs  

  • Traffic control or jobsite labor  

  • Shipping delays or downtime  

  • Third-party installation costs  

  • Consequential or incidental damages  

This policy applies only to manufacturer defects and does not cover damage caused by improper installation, misuse, modification, accidents, vehicle impact, or normal wear and environmental exposure.  


Custom & Fabricated Products 

Most of our bollards, barriers, and related products are fabricated specifically for each order. 

Because of this, custom fabricated products are non-returnable and non-refundable, including products with:

  • Custom sizes  

  • Custom colors or finishes  

  • Modified configurations  

  • Special-order materials  

  • Built-to-spec fabrication  

Once fabrication begins, orders cannot be canceled or returned. 


Freight Damage 

  • Please inspect all shipments immediately upon delivery. 

  • If there is visible freight damage: 

  • Note the damage on the delivery receipt before signing  

  • Take photos of the packaging and product  

  • Notify us within 48 hours of delivery  

Freight claims can become extremely difficult once a shipment is accepted without notation, especially with LTL freight carriers.

Failure to report freight damage promptly may affect claim eligibility. 


Return Request Timeframe

Approved returns for eligible standard stock products must be requested within 30 days of delivery.

Return requests submitted after this timeframe may not be eligible for approval.

Approved returns must be shipped back within the timeframe provided in the return authorization instructions.


Refund Processing

Approved refunds are typically processed within 10 business days after the returned product is received and inspected.

Refund amounts may be adjusted for:

  • Restocking fees

  • Missing components

  • Damage

  • Products returned in non-approved condition

  • Original outbound shipping charges

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
