What to Expect After Placing Your Order

When you place an order with us, our streamlined, transparent process ensures your products are built to spec and delivered on time. Here’s a look at what happens next:

Step 1: Payment or Credit Approval

We prioritize fast and secure order processing. To keep things moving smoothly:

  • Preferred Payment Method: ACH through our secure online portal. It's easy, trackable, and speeds up production scheduling.

  • New Trade Accounts: Looking to get set up so you can order by PO with credit terms? Once your application has been submitted, we will notify you of your terms and credit limit.

  • Existing Trade Accounts: If you're a returning customer with a credit application on file, your order will proceed upon approval.

Once payment is received or credit is approved, your order immediately enters our production queue.

Step 2: In-Stock Orders Ship Fast

If your order is for in-stock items, it skips the production line and goes straight to packaging. These items are typically:

  • Bagged, bundled, and palletized the same day

  • Shipped next business day or prepared for will call pickup if requested

  • Eligible for hot shot delivery in the local area

You'll still receive a shipment notification and tracking as soon as it leaves our facility.

Step 3: Material Scheduling

For custom or made-to-order items, your order is reviewed by our production team, and all required raw materials are pulled or ordered and scheduled for production. Key scheduling considerations include:

  • First In, First Out: Unless an order has paid an expedite fee, all orders are processed on a first in first out basis.

  • Dedicated Lines: Orders are assigned to production lines designed to handle the common build requirements unique to each bollard type.

Step 4: Fabrication

After prep, your parts are moved into fabrication. Our in-house welders and fabricators complete all work to spec—ensuring strength, precision, and consistency across every product.

  • Cutting: From cutting, profiling and drilling pipe to processing plate and sheet (torch, plasma or laser), all material is prepped to spec.

  • Welding: Depending on the material and design, bollards are mig, tig or laser welded. Once welded, caps are ground smooth and the order is ready for finishing.

Step 5: Finishing

Once fabrication is complete, your order moves to finishing:

  • Steel Products: Options include hot-dip galvanizing, cold-zinc coating, epoxy/urethane painting, custom painting and powder coating.

  • Stainless Steel Products: Brushed and passivated for long-lasting beauty and corrosion resistance.

Painted and coated items are fully cured before packaging to ensure they arrive in perfect condition.

Step 6: Packaging & Freight

Completed products are:

  • Bagged, bundled, and placed on pallets

  • Protected with spacers, shrink-wrap, and heavy-duty strapping

  • Freight is booked based on carrier performance and fastest transit time

Local orders may be scheduled for hot shot delivery or available for will call pickup.

Step 7: Shipment Notification & Tracking

Once your shipment is has been booked and picked up by the carrier, we’ll send an email notification to the order contact. You’ll receive tracking info and can monitor the delivery through our online tracking portal.
